Our winter has been pretty mild, and we couldn’t be happier about it! It does make me wonder though…does a warm winter mean a SUPER HOT summer? Because that wouldn’t be cool. (Pun not intended. I’m not that nerdy.)
Other than painting ourselves with mud, we’ve been up to a lot of good things. The girls go to school at Grandma’s house (Aunt Jewel is their teacher) for three days a week. Elena can read! Abbie is learning to read! Lexi can….pee in the potty! BIG stuff!
On the mornings they are gone I can run errands with Brian, practice driving our stick shift (gulp. I hate driving. So annoying, but it must be done! Right?) I also read, work on my pictures, clean or organize the house, visit people from church…it’s really very nice, but then I start missing my girls.
My biggest goal this month has been to get up before the girls. Reading the Bible and exercising every day makes the world an easier place to live in, as far as I’m concerned. So far, I’ve been falling flat on my face and staying in bed till the girls are chomping at the bit in their bedroom. But we’ll keep trying.
23 more days till vacation. Just sayin’.
