It’s getting all crazy up in here.

The other day I mentioned to someone that we were “running around like chickens with our heads cut off.”

Abbie thought that was hilarious and said, “WHAT???? No we’re not!!”  Being only four years old and not quite grasping what sayings are, I can only imagine what she was thinking. Why would Mom say that? We’re not chickens…we have our heads…??

Anyway, I had a few interesting things happen this weekend so let’s re-cap, shall we?

I was invited to Fashion Week Ciudad del Este. It consisted of Paraguayan designers, such as Pombero,  and Puma athletic clothes and accessories (Varsity Grip Bag, I have my eye on you).  I wasn’t sure what to expect from Fashion Week…this may come as a suprise to you, but I don’t normally attend fashion shows. Ahem.

It was all quite decent and fun! I was surprised and impressed…the best part was having some girl time with two good friends who I hadn’t been able to spend time with in a while. We chatted about our church, plans, offered each other advice and drew closer. Time with Christian friends is always so precious. I got home at 1 in the morning…very unlike me, but we all need a change every once in a while, right? The next morning Brian graciously let me sleep in and when I came out into the living room Elena gave me a dissaproving look. “I just found out what time you got home last night…” I almost expected her to add “young lady!” at the end. Haha.

Speaking of my girls, we’ve been so busy here lately (our co-workers on a short furlough so our workload has doubled for the time being) but my sister is staying with me and what a blessing it has been to be able to rush out the door and know they are in good hands. It’s just a short quick season we’re in and then things will fall back into place again…but oh how I miss them. Today I laid on the floor and let them crawl all over my like puppies and I was struck by the fact that they are growing up WAY.TOO.FAST.

What if I wake up tomorrow and Abbie is driving? Or Elena is discussing college options? Or Lexi is potty trained? Or something CRAZY like that??? Yikes.

Slow down World, I want off for a bit.
